Legal & Regulatory Information
This page sets out the legal and regulatory framework information relating to Rampay and this website. It is deliberately conservative: it does not state or imply any licence, registration, authorization, approval or certification.
01
Service delivery model
Rampay provides a branded and integrated framework for fiat-to-digital-asset access. Certain components of the transaction journey may be delivered through third-party payment, verification, conversion, digital asset or infrastructure service providers.
Where a service component requires regulatory authorization, the relevant service may be provided by a third-party service provider operating under the regulatory permissions applicable to that provider.
Rampay does not represent that a third-party provider’s regulatory status or authorization automatically applies to Rampay.
02
End-user transaction model
The standard transaction journey described on this website is an end-user fiat-to-digital-asset transaction. Following successful completion of the applicable payment, verification, conversion and transaction-control stages, the selected digital asset is transferred to the end user’s designated wallet.
The integrating business does not receive the end user’s digital asset as part of this standard transaction model.
03
Entity and contracting information
The legal entity, registration details, registered address and contracting entity applicable to any Rampay service relationship will be published on this page once finalised.
Until published, no statement on this website should be taken as identifying a contracting entity or as creating a contractual relationship.
04
Regulatory position
This website does not claim any licence, registration, authorization, approval, exemption or certification in any jurisdiction, and none should be inferred from any content on this website.
Activities relating to fiat payments and digital assets may be regulated differently in different jurisdictions. The regulatory treatment applicable to any specific integration is assessed as part of onboarding, alongside the applicable contractual documentation.
05
Service availability and jurisdictional limitations
Nothing on this website is a representation that any service, payment method, digital asset or capability is available in any particular jurisdiction, or to any particular person or business.
- Availability may depend on jurisdiction and applicable law
- Availability may depend on customer or business eligibility
- Availability may depend on integration configuration
- Availability may depend on the services made available at the relevant time
- Certain jurisdictions, customers or transaction types may be excluded
06
Compliance framework
Rampay is designed with compliance-oriented controls, including customer due diligence, business onboarding review, screening, risk-based transaction controls and monitoring concepts. The framework is described in principle on the Compliance page and is not a statement of regulatory status.
07
Digital asset risk disclosure
Digital assets involve significant risks. These may include, without limitation:
- Price volatility and potential loss of value
- Irreversibility of certain transfers once executed
- Incorrect destination details resulting in permanent loss
- Technology, network and protocol risk
- Liquidity and market risk
- Operational and third-party dependency risk
- Evolving legal, regulatory and tax treatment
Digital assets are generally not covered by deposit guarantee or investor compensation schemes. You should consider carefully whether any transaction involving digital assets is appropriate for you.
08
No advice and no offer
Content on this website is provided for general information purposes only. It does not constitute legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, accounting, investment or financial advice, nor an offer, solicitation or recommendation in relation to any digital asset or financial instrument.
09
Business responsibilities
A business integrating Rampay remains responsible for its own legal and regulatory obligations, including those relating to its own customers, its own communications and its own jurisdictional requirements. Responsibilities are defined during onboarding and in the applicable contractual documentation.
10
Financial crime statement
Rampay does not support the use of its intended services for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or any other unlawful activity. Transactions may be subject to screening, review, restriction or decline in accordance with the applicable control framework.
11
Complaints
A formal complaints handling process, including contact details and expected handling approach, will be published on this page. In the interim, enquiries may be submitted through the contact form on this website.
